Even though its a few years ago I think the backside belongs to my brother, with the benefit of hindsight I should have cropped the photo.

She's soooo pretty. What was her character like? She was and lovely sweet natured dog and very devoted. With other people and strangers she was very friendly, loved fussing but a bit stubborn when it came to obedience. She was indifferent with dogs not aggressive but not particularly social. She loved exercise and days out in the hills walking and was also a great swimmer.

A few more, sorry for the size photobucket playing up! Jess swimming in very cold lakeland stream Swimming in Blea Tarn The only way I could get her to come out was to walk away, even then sometimes she would stay in for ages Matt my brother and Jess outside the Climbing club hut in Wasdale. Not such a good phot but it gives you an idea of her size.

Lovely dog there!!!
There was a litter of ebt x pit in a village near me, a friends other half had two..the female is very similar to your one but larger, the other ( the male ) was a beast of a dog...He was huge, at least 65-70lbs of solid muscle.

Yes Mick, the Lake District takes some beating, it takes me about an hour and a half to drive there. Wasdale is a bit further away but worth it - remote and quiet. I could take the Pits up there without anyone even giving us a second look. Farmers don't give a shit what dog you have as long as it isn't bothering livestock. I got Jess from a chap in Bradford where I used to live. He put a Staff over one of his EBT bitches because he preferred the cross to either a straight EBT or straight Staff. I didn't know the guy that well and don't know if he had a programme as such but in Bradford at the time it was a fairly popular cross. That house was old farm house that was used as a climbing hut. Coal fires and candles for lighting fooking freezing in winter but a great place to stay after a day on the hills and a night in the pub

Yes, dogs and the hills have always gone together well for me. It surprises some people how well the Bull breeds do in the hills. Typical Bull and Terrier traits such as stamina, muscle to get up the steep hills and jump rocks and gullies etc, agility for scrambling over obstacles all seem to help. The only problem mine have had is the thin coat in winter. I could just do with more time get out there and enjoy the hills but definitely a good way to condition the dogs and yourself at the same time.
