To be honest I have mixed views on this subject....... For security I think it should be banned, the potential for it to be used to hide bombs, terrorists, stolen property etc is high and it can be misused, for example...its not far off walking around wearing a balaclava. Then theres the whole argument of "when we go to their countries we follow their rules, should they not do the same here" For example when travelling to some islamic countries your required to be covered from head to toe (the women)......and if not its an offence. But then its a faith for so many people, should they not have the right to follow it? In all honesty I think maybe it shouldnt be banned completely but it should be treated like Motorcycle helmets and be removed when going into banks or places of high security.

I went to the Westfield shopping center last week and this was the first time i was in very close proximity of a woman wearing a Burka. Until then i never was that bothered.
We were in kids Russel and Bromley and it was packed, a woman walked in with a burka in. The reaction and atmosphere this created in the shop of children was quite shocking - I saw a little girl about 2 years old petrified crying every child in there was clearly upest. My Cherry who is quite outspoken asked me why that person had a black ghost outfit on?... She said she was scared of it... I explained as best i could that she was nothing to be scared of etc.
Cherry asked me why cant it be pink it wouldn't be very scary then! LOL
She then asked me why she wore it.... how do you explain to a child that the meaning is related how men look at women?
I wanted to go and speak to the woman and ask her to talk to Cherry as i don't want her to be fearful of anything especially a woman in a Burka, as i approached her she was trying to ask for some shoes in her sons size....She couldn't speak English very well and the Burka made it even harder to communicate. She ended up walking out the shop leaving a shop assistant that was really embarrassed and felt awkward in front of a shop full of people, as well as a horrible atmosphere in shop full of children.
These children are innocent to faith, religion and cultures but yet they felt intimidated and uneasy at the sight of a woman completely covered in black except her eyes.
This whole experience has made me think twice about the subject i will watch with interest as to how the subject is debated in the media, but i feel that it should be banned. But it does take away people choices which i do feel uncomfortable about....

definately this is england a country few muslims have any respect for , we have had xmas changed to winter festival in the midlands and at the school where my mrs works they have to refer to pork as the other meat and the childrens farm mural has no pigs in it , i cant wear a hoodie or a hat in most pubs , i have to wear a helmet on a motor bike but seiks can wear a turban , if i was in the far east id be made to respect their ways not allowed alcohol or sex on the beach etc so why should they walk all over us inflicting their ways on us in our own land ,
