We have the luxury of living in a village in the Cotswolds with fields and woods to run the dogs. This is great but I realised recently that although they LOVE running free, they were not getting enough road work. It's road work that really 'fittens' them and strengthens tendons and muscles....so I bought a second hand bike and started taking the dogs out for a run alongside! Although already fit, we only do this every 2 or 3 days at the moment, so as to give the muscles etc a day to repair after. Hopefully we can soon build up to more as it's quite exhilerating!!! We also have a garden sized agility set at home which is great fun, we Flyball train every week and play ball in the park several times a week. I would LOVE to take them swimming as all mine love water but don't know where to take them? we have lots of green ponds on the doorstep but would prefer something a little cleaner! Any suggestions? I had thought about a very large paddling pool (they have a 4 ft one to splash in... Attachments:

We have a big pool that the dogs do jump in somtimes but they cant really swim in it i always worry they will rip it. I think we will get one on the fiberglass stock tanks for fish - They do really big ones which would be perfect for dogs :-)

I had wondered about getting one of those but would it need a pump or filter etc to keep the water clean? It would take a lot of filling each time it needed changing.

Steve my other half said it would be quite easy to set up a filter and treat it with the same stuff you use for the big paddling pools - If we get round to it i will let you know how it goes :-)
