Would you cross breed a dog to introduce traits back into the dog that may need to be strenghened and then breed back to the original breed. for example, uve got working greyhounds so u put a but of lurcher in em for more agility... or..a bit of staff in ur bulldog for health.

I have an Irish ex track GH here that i don't work as such, alothough she will pick up daytime rabbits etc. I had intended to breed her, firstly with a nice working beardie i had lined up or i considered a bullbreed. In all honesty the worry of homing pups i didnt want outweighs my desire to breed. So yes,i would definately crossbreed. Aside my GH everything here is crossbred anyways

Ive thought about it numerous times, especially with mine.....obviously there has been some inbreeding to keep the colour and I feel its not done the blues in general any good, so I would like to add a bit more fire and spirit......... not sure what breed I would use though. Again its just a thought I have no plans to do it. But if it can better a dog then why not?
